A gum across the driveway, a limb through the roof, a hedge flattened onto the fence line, or a tree leaning into a power line all need someone who can read the load before touching anything. A storm damaged tree is usually under tension. Our arborist works out where that load is sitting before a single cut is made, then secures the tree so it cannot move further.

The tree is dismantled and rigged down in the order that keeps the weight off your house, fence or vehicle. Nothing gets dropped and hoped for.

Storm and hazard jobs get priority over scheduled work, and being based in Paraparaumu means Kapiti call-outs are not waiting on a crew driving up from town. If the tree is unsafe we will talk you through how to keep clear of it until we get there.
It depends on what the tree is resting on and how much tension is in it, so storm work is quoted on site once the arborist can see the load. If the damage is covered by your insurance we provide the photos and written detail your assessor will ask for.
Stay well clear and call the network provider first. That is Electra on the Kapiti Coast and Wellington Electricity for Wellington, Porirua and the Hutt Valley. Lines have to be made safe before any arborist can touch the tree. Once that is done we can take it from there.
Damage to your property is often covered, though policies differ on whether removing the tree itself is included. Take photos before anything is moved if you can do it safely, and we will supply our own record of the damage and the work we carried out.
